Banga Bazar Complex Traders Association wants the speedy rehabilitation of traders affected by the terrible fire of the past.
On Wednesday (April 5) at 11 o’clock in front of the burnt Banga Bazar market, the traders made this appeal to the Prime Minister under the banner of ‘Fire-affected and lost property, help the traders sitting on the road’.
Businessman Abdul Wahab said that the Prime Minister is a very modest person. The people of this country are being fed and taught. Our only demand to the Prime Minister is to rehabilitate the traders who were helpless after the fire by creating a market very quickly. We have only one demand.
Lutfur Rahman, a businessman, said, “In three of my shops, assets worth one crore rupees were burnt to ashes.” I am now a street farmer. My urgent request to the Prime Minister is to rehabilitate us as soon as possible.
The fire broke out at Banga Bazar market at 6-10 am on Tuesday (April 4). Later it spread to several other markets around. After 6 and a half hours, 50 units of the fire service brought the fire under control, but smoke is still coming out from the Annexco building. It has been claimed that around 5 thousand traders have been affected by the fire.
