You know, what’s the biggest hit post of Remnant Glimpse so far? It was related to the casting of the Bangabandhu Biopic. Reach was around 25 Lakhs. Such is the craze and expectations of people! When you are making something so big, people will have expectations. The trailer last night was disappointing to some level.
- The VFX of planes, and sky behind stage looked amateurish. A film with this big-budget can afford much better works in this sector.
- Shuvoo’s makeup as aged Mujib looked as if he just came out of the ‘Dress as you like’ competition of college. Care should have been taken on his dialogue delivery & voice modulation as well.
- Historical evidence should be portrayed as it is. Some detailings like delivering the 26th March speech in Bangla prove that research wasn’t done properly.
- ‘Guerilla’ movie about 10 years back with a much lower budget had better-set designs.
- Color grading didn’t give a periodic film vibe.
- You want to thank India. Fine. But why at the last scene!! People expect a goosebump moment in the last scene of the trailer. (Some people got confused, this speech was on his way to homecoming after the war, not the 7th March speech) Having said all these things, I still would like to keep some hope.
- The casting looks great.
- Suvoo as young Mujib looked much better.
- I hope the drama & direction would be up to the mark. Cause war scenes will not cover most parts of the film. The movie will work if the emotional angle is explored well.
- Though the trailer gives an impression about the film, I still won’t judge the whole film based on a trailer.
- There is still some time, I hope the makers work on color grading, and VFX, and make it as believable as possible.
