Youth arrested with foreign weapons in Sonaimuri

At 6 pm on Thursday (August 26), a RAB expedition team based on intelligence information, some top armed terrorists were stationed at Junedpur Bazar of Sonaimuri police station in Noakhali district. A team of RAB-3 raided the Junedpur market of Sonaimuri police station and arrested the top terrorist Mohammad Amir Hamza Nahid (22) to verify the news and take legal action. At that time 110 pieces of yaba including 1 foreign pistol, 1 magazine, 2 rounds of ammunition were recovered from him.

RAB Additional Superintendent of Police (Media) Veena Rani Das said that during the preliminary interrogation, it was learned that the accused was involved in spreading dominance in the surrounding areas including Junaidpur of Sonaimuri police station in Noakhali district, controlling drug trade, extortion, and conducting terrorist activities he was using illegal weapons. When the arrested accused was questioned about the recovered weapons, he could not show any valid documents. A case has been filed against the accused at Sonaimuri police station.
