Anger is growing among Muslim countries over the display of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and French President Emmanuel Macron’s negative remarks on Islam. According to Qatar-based Al Jazeera, French President Macron has angered the Muslim world by calling French Muslims “separatists” and “Islam is creating a crisis around the world.”
Recently, a French teacher was killed after a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was shown in the classroom. Later, under the auspices of the Macron government, the caricature began to be displayed in government buildings in France.
In a tweet in support of Macron, the Indians said, “I am happy with what France is doing against radical Islamic terrorism.” Indians need to be supported in Macron’s fight against extremist sectarian terrorists.
