Most recently, Pooja Cheri, the most popular and youngest actress of this generation, was contracted to act in a new film. The name of the film is ‘Hridita’. Director Ispahani Arif Jahan. Pujar was supposed to play the title role in the film. Jadrel police officer ABM Sumon was supposed to act opposite him in the movie ‘Dhaka Attack’.
Ispahani Arif Jahan’s ‘Hridita’ has received a government grant from the Bangladesh Ministry of Information for the financial year 2019-2020. The film will be based on the story of popular writer Anisul Haque’s ‘Hridita’. However, it has come to a head recently. Md. Mizanur Rahman, the head of Jadukathi Media, has given notice to the Information Secretary and nine people involved in the film to cancel the grant and suspend all activities including shooting within 72 hours. Supreme Court lawyer Aftab Uddin Siddiqui sent the legal notice on his behalf. The notice, sent by registry by post and e-mailed on September 27 (September 24), simultaneously exemplifies action against the person responsible for questioning the return of a grant already released for Hridita and a noble government initiative such as a grantAcceptance is requested.The notice said that ‘Hridita’ was originally a novel by author Anisul Haque published from ‘Samay’.
On April 28, 2019, he gave written permission to producer Mizanur Rahman to make a film from ‘Hridita’ alone in return for an honorarium of Rs 50,000. On the same day, Anisul Haque wrote in her handwriting on the official pad of Mizanur’s production company Jadukathi Media: “Jadukathi Media was allowed to make films from the heart of the publication during my novel.” The notice further said that according to the grant policy 2020, screenplays of films under construction are not considered for grant. Apart from that, the permission letter of the author has to be submitted along with the application for grant. In both cases, the director or producer of the subsidized film ‘Hridita’ has definitely resorted to fraud and irregularities. Due to these irregularities, the grant of ‘Hridita’ deserves to be canceled.
