Tech giant Google has agreed to a deal with media mogul Rupert Murdoch. As a result of the deal, Murdoch-owned US multinational media outlet News Corporation said it would exchange its news with Google through major financial transactions.
The agreement is aimed at legally publishing news from the news corporations under the News Corporation on Google’s news platform.
Among the media and publishing houses under News Corporation are The Sun, The Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Australian.
The agreement between the two parties will be valid for three years. During this time both parties will share the dividends from the media advertisements. They will also invest in YouTube-based video journalism.
Murdoch has been urging online media outlets, including Google, to pay the news for a long time.
