More than five crores 68 lakh people have received booster dose vaccination in the country since the beginning to prevent the infection of coronavirus. Meanwhile, on the last day (Saturday) more than seven lakh people across the country have received booster dose vaccination.
This information is known from the press release regarding the Corona vaccination sent by the Department of Health on Saturday night. It was signed by the Director of the Management Information Branch (MIS) and Line Director Professor Dr. Shahadat Hossain.
According to the notification, 13 crores 20 lakh 86 thousand 100 people have taken the first dose of vaccine since the beginning of the vaccination program in the country. Besides, 12 crores 38 lakh 87 thousand 86 people have come under the two-dose vaccine. And 5 crore 67 lakh 68 thousand 81 people took booster dose.
It also said that in the last 28 hours, 43 thousand 246 people were given the first dose, 1 lakh 6 thousand 295 people were given the second dose. Also 7 lakh 9 thousand 7 people received booster dose vaccination. These are vaccines from Oxford-AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson.
Corona vaccine registration in the country started on January 27. The immunization program starts on 7 February. Currently, any person who is 5 years old can now take the vaccine.
