A student of Notre Dame College named Naeem Hasan (18) was killed in a collision with a Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) vehicle at Gulistan in the capital.
The accident happened around 11:30 am on Wednesday. Naeem was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead.
Paltan Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Salauddin Mia confirmed the matter to NatunNews Monitor.
He said, ‘The name of the killed student is Naeem Hasan. He is a student of Notre Dame College.
He also said that the driver of the DSCC vehicle was arrested and the vehicle was confiscated.
Bachchu Mia, in charge of Dhaka Medical College police outpost, told NatunNews Monitor, “The name of the deceased is known as Naeem Hasan. His father said. Shah Alam Dewan and mother Jannatul Ferdous. His home is in Lakshmipur, Ramganj Upazila East Kazirkhil, Dewanbari village.
