As the prices of essential goods continue to rise in the retail request, the central government of India has reduced the price of cooking gas by 200 rupees per cylinder, which is a 18 percent price cut.
All retail guests in India will profit from this reduced price. In addition, the women who have joined the Prime Minister’s special design’ Ujjwala’ for the commission of Indian women, will get a reduction of 400 rupees per cylinder of14.2 kg.
The central information minister Anurag Thakur verified this in a press conference on Tuesday and said,’ This decision will be effective from Wednesday. We hope that this step of the government will profit 33 crore families and at least 10 crore low- income people in India.’
At present, the price of a 14 kg gas cylinder in Delhi is 1,103 rupees, in Mumbai it’s 1,102.50 rupees, in Chennai it’s 1,118.50 rupees, and in Kolkata it’s 1,129 rupees. From Wednesday, ordinary guests will be suitable to buy a cylinder at a lower price of 200 rupees.
The central finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman twittered on Tuesday that the government has decided to reduce the price of gas on the occasion of Rakhi and Onam carnivals. She thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving this’ gift of love’ to the maters and sisters on the occasion of the carnivals.
The central government had last increased the price of cooking gas by 50 rupees per cylinder in July this time. Before that, the price of cooking gas had increased doubly in May.
Meanwhile, due to the affectation in the retail request, common people are suffering. According to Indian political judges, there are assembly choices in at least five countries in India before the Lok Sabha choices in 2024. The government has taken this step to reduce the price so that the opposition parties can not take advantage of the people’s suffering in those choices.
The central government had allocated 7,600 crore rupees as subvention for cooking gas in the budget for 2023- 2024. As a result of this new price cut decision, another 4,000 crore rupees have been added to that subvention.
