The U.S. Department of Defense plans to increase missile production. Pentagon has taken such a plan in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war.
Because of the war, America has to regularly supply a large number of missiles to Ukraine. As a result, America plans to increase production to fill the gaps in the country. Defense officials said.
According to CNN, Ukraine wants 500 Javelin Tank-Destroyer missiles and 500 Stinger Aircraft-Destroyer missiles from America every day. Ukraine cited the demand for weapons in a list sent to America.
.As of March 7, in less than two weeks of the war, the United States and Nato have delivered about 17,000 anti-tank and 2,000 anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine.
Since then, arms supplies to Ukraine have definitely increased. However, the number has not been made public. America now wants to fill this shortfall in its arsenal by increasing production.
The White House announced on March 16 that it would provide 800 million in military assistance to Ukraine. In addition, the White House announced plans to launch another 800 Stinger anti-aircraft missiles and 2,000 Javelin tank anti-aircraft missiles.
Stinger production was stopped by America. But in the wake of the war, the country has resumed production to meet arms sales orders from abroad.
Meanwhile, production of the Javelin anti-tank missile is in full swing, but efforts are being made to increase it, the Pentagon said
