The King of Dhallywood, Shakib Khan, is all set to share the screen with Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan in his upcoming film ‘Dard’. The film is directed by Anonno Mamun, who previously worked with Shakib in ‘Nabab LLB’. ‘Dard’ is a Pan-Indian film, which means it will be released in multiple languages across India and Bangladesh.
Sonal Chauhan is a former beauty queen who won the Femina Miss India and Miss World Tourism titles in 2005. She made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with the hit film ‘Jannat’, opposite Emraan Hashmi. She has also acted in several Telugu films, such as ‘Legend’, ‘Pandaga Chesko’, and ‘Size Zero’.
According to sources, the shooting of ‘Dard’ will start in India this month. The makers of the film have not revealed much about the plot or the genre of the film, but it is expected to be a romantic thriller. Shakib Khan will resume shooting for ‘Dard’ after the release of his Eid-ul-Azha film ‘Priyatama’, which is a remake of the Telugu film ‘Ninnu Kori’.
Shakib Khan is one of the most popular and successful actors in Bangladesh. He has won several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Actor four times. He has also starred in some of the highest-grossing films in Bangladesh, such as ‘Shikari’, ‘Nabab’, and ‘Password’.
‘Dard’ will mark the first collaboration between Shakib Khan and Sonal Chauhan, as well as the first Pan-Indian film for both of them. The film is expected to release in 2024.
