Singer and actor Tahsan Rahman Khan has been granted bail in a case filed by a customer alleging collusion in the activities of e-commerce company Evaly. Tahsan filed an application in the High Court on Wednesday seeking anticipatory bail in a case filed by a customer of Evaly for embezzlement. The High Court granted him bail on Thursday.
Justice Jahangir Hossain and Justice Md. Atowar Rahman’s High Court bench granted him bail. Tahsan. Khan is currently in the United States, his lawyer said.
A customer of the company named Saad Sam Rahman filed a case on December 4 alleging embezzlement on behalf of Evaly. The accused in the case are Mohammad Rassel, MD of Evaly, Shamima Nasrin, Chairman, Tahsan Rahman Khan, Rafiath Rashid Mithila, and Sabnam Faria.
Evaly’s MD Mohammad Rassel and Shamima Nasrin Chairman have been arrested in the case. The rest are under investigation. On December 13, the two accused in the case, actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila and Sabnam Faria, were granted 8 weeks anticipatory bail by the High Court
