The Padma Bridge is going to be inaugurated at the end of next June. Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said the bridge would be ready for traffic before last week.
He made the remarks at a briefing at the secretariat after the cabinet meeting on Thursday (May 19). Earlier, the meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office under his chairmanship.
Responding to a question from reporters, the cabinet secretary said, “The Padma Bridge has been discussed (in the cabinet meeting) and what was discussed today, we think the Prime Minister himself will clear the matter in the next 4/5/6 days.” The Padma Bridge will be inaugurated at the end of June, that’s all he said, we are ready too, InshAllah. Hopefully, the bridge will be ready before last week.
