This decision has been made several times before. Old Hindi movies have also been released. However, in the face of the movement of the leaders and workers of various organizations in the film, it was not very successful. .It is being heard again that Bollywood movies will be released in the cinema halls of Bangladesh.
Bollywood movies will be released in Bangladesh on the day of release in India. The hall owners of Bangladesh are moving towards the decision to ‘upgrade’ the SAFTA agreement. This information was given by Mia Alauddin, Vice President of Bangladesh Film Exhibitors Association.
He also told the media, “Domestic producers also have support for the release of Bollywood movies. It is learned that everyone is voting for this decision to save the hall business in the industry which has become non-cinematic.
Mia Alauddin said, ‘Even before Corona, we had a good cinema crisis here. And after Corona, the situation is worse. The hall was opened with high hopes. But no one is interested in releasing the movie. Movies are being released all over the world now if we deal with Corona. But all of us here have finished the construction and decorated the house.
They do not think about how to run the hall without a movie? Therefore, considering the situation, arrangements are being made to import Bollywood movies. Our content crisis, there is no way to deny it. We, the owners of halls all over the country, have agreed that we will bring pictures of India. ‘
Earlier, old Hindi movies were released under the SAFTA agreement. However, this time the owners of the hall want Bollywood or Kolkata movies to be released in Bangladesh on the same day.
Iftekhar Uddin Nowshad, former president of the Bangladesh Hall Owners’ Association, also agreed with the plan. “If you want to save the hall, you need good content,” he said. All the famous and expensive cinema halls in the world have been closed in Corona. We are in a bad situation here too. Bringing new Indian movies can be seen experimentally or not. If there is no positive response from the audience, then the release of Bollywood movies will stop. ‘
Mia Alauddin said the films will be imported by the members of the producers’ association. This approval will not be given to anyone other than the producers. Then there will be chaos. If everything is finalized in this regard, details about the policy, import, and release procedure, ticket pricing will be given.
