Yesterday (Monday), Shakib hurt his left finger while bowling in his second over against Sri Lanka. He still completed his full bowling quota, where he took two important wickets. Shakib’s injury was reported by the national team physio Bayezidul Islam. He said, ‘At the beginning of the innings, Shakib was hit on his left index finger. He then continued batting with tape on his hand and painkillers.’

‘Later, after the match, an emergency X-ray was done on his hand in Delhi. Where it was confirmed that he had a fracture in his left hand’s pip joint. It will take three to four weeks for Shakib to recover. Shakib is returning home today to start the rehabilitation process,’ added the BCB physio.
