করোনা পরিস্থিতির কারনে শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ রয়েছে। সাধারণভাবেই মূল্যায়ন পরিক্ষা নেয়া সম্ভব হচ্ছেনা। এ কারনে শিক্ষার্থীদের কাছ থেকে এস্যাইনমেন্ট সংগ্রহ কয়া হছে। তারই আলোকে অষ্টম শ্রেণির চতুর্থ সপ্তাহের ইংরেজি এস্যাইনমেন্ট এর একটি সহায়ক লেখা আজ লিখছি।

অষ্টম শ্রেণির চতুর্থ সপ্তাহের এস্যাইনমেন্ট এর বিষয় হচ্ছে –

Suppose you visited a place last year. Describe that place answering the following questions.

• Where did you visit?
• Why did you go there?
• How did you go there?
• Who accompanied you?
• Did you like the place? Why/why not?

Last year I visited my grandfather’s home. This house is at Talimpur village of Khulna zila.

At the time of Eid-ul-fitre, last year my school and also my brother’s school was on vacation. So, we decided to go to our grandfather’s home, because, on the Eid occasion there holds a village fair. We have never saw a village fair. We heard many stories and experiences about village fair from our grandfather.

We decided to go to grandfather’s home on the day before of Eid. My elder brother accompanied me with the whole journey. We started our journey at 7 am. First, we went to the bus station by rickshaw. As my brother was with me, we bought two tickets for the bus. We went to Sonadanga bus station by bus. Then we had to cross the river named Rupsha. After that, we reached our grandfather’s home by van.

At the afternoon of the Eid day, we went to visit the village fair. On every Eid day that village fair is held for two or more days. Normally the fair starts in the afternoon, but it gets more excited in the evening. Village fair is an occasion for show of various goods and entertainments.

The fair was held in the empty area, sort of field. In the center, there was a big banyan tree. The tree was decorated with festoons of multiple colors. There were more than 50 sheds in total. Some of them were selling village products, there were bamboo made products, soil made utensils, some handmade showpieces. Some of stalls were selling many kinds of sweets, fried foods, chips etc. Some of them carried fruits from their own lands. We bought some fruits, and a bamboo made basket.

There were arrangements for magic showa and jatra. we watched the magic and I really enjoyed the village fair.

I liked that village fair, because, a village fair is an occasion of great joy and entertainment among the villagers. It removes the monotony of life. People meet their kith and kin and mix with a variety of people. It enables the village people to exhibit and sell their hand made things. Thus a village fair is important and though it is held on an occasion, it is also an occasion.
