After the historic success of the ‘Baahubali’ series, Prabhas, India’s biggest pan-Indian star, is reeling from box office failure. The latest Prabhas starrer big budget movie ‘Adipurush (2023)’ also hit the theatres. However, his fans are dreaming of Prabas’ return to the box office with the much awaited movie ‘Salaar’. Salaar directed by Prashanth Neel was scheduled to release on September 28. However, it is reported that Prabhas’ action movie ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ is not releasing on the scheduled date. The makers of the movie are making an official announcement about the release of the movie soon.
According to reports published in India media, the release of Prabhas’ action movie ‘Salaar’ is getting delayed. Although scheduled to release on September 28, ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ is finally not coming on the scheduled date. However, Hombale Films, the production company of the movie, has not yet made any official announcement about the postponement of the release. However, several sources associated with southern Film have already confirmed the matter. Apart from this, after the rumors of ‘Salaar’ being pushed back, the announcement of new Telugu and Hindi movies on the said date has already been received.
Prabhas’ action movie ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ is likely to release in January next year, reports said citing reliable sources. Even though the release is less than a month away, the makers have not completed the post production work till now. Director Prashanth Neel does not want to take any risk due to the extreme criticism of the VFX of the movie ‘Adipurush’ released this year. So they are planning to release it in January 2024 instead of September to give more time for VFX work.
Meanwhile, the release of Prabhas’ action movie ‘Salaar’ has been delayed, and some new movies are coming up on September 28. Made as a pan-India movie, ‘Salaar’ is slated to release in Hindi as well as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Meanwhile, its producer Excel Entertainment has announced the release of ‘Fukrey 3’ on September 28. Besides, it is said that the Telugu movie ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ starring Mash Maharaja Ravi Teja is releasing on the same day. ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ is now pretty much certain to be pushed back with the announcement of the September 28 release of these new movies.
On the other hand, Prabhas’ action movie ‘Salaar’ has seen a lot of excitement over the tickets for the premiere in the United States. It was already reported that the film’s premiere ticket revenue was 5 lakh US dollars. But the film’s promoters are in trouble as it is not released on the scheduled date. It is also said that the process of refunding the price of the premier ticket has already started. The makers have planned to release ‘Salaar’ in this number of locations to coincide with Prabhas’ birth year of 1979.
Incidentally, ‘KGF’ famous producer Prashanth Neel’s movie ‘Salaar’ is being produced by Hombale Films, the producer of ‘KGF’ series. Prashanth Neel has also written the screenplay for this action story movie besides directing. The film is edited by Ujwal Kulkarni with Bhuvan Gowda cinematography. And its music is directed by Ravi Basrur. Prabhas’ movie ‘Salaar’ will be released in total five languages Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
Note that the movie ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ has been made in two parts. The first episode is currently awaiting release. It stars Tamil actress Shruti Haasan opposite Prabhas. Through this, Shruti Haasan is going to debut in Kannada Film. Starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao and Sriya Reddy, the audience’s expectations are sky high. After the ‘KGF’ series, everyone is thinking that another box office tsunami is coming.
