Soybean oil prices fall by TK 14 per liter. A liter of bottled soybean oil will cost 178 TK. Currently selling for 192 TK.
Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vanaspati Manufacturers Association announced the reduction in Soybean oil prices in a press release today on Monday.
The association of traders said that Soybean oil will be sold in the market from Tuesday at the new rate.
The new rate will be effective from Tuesday. The soybean oil price per liter will be 158 TK from today. Soybean oil will be sold at 178 TK per liter bottled. A 5-liter bottle of soybean oil will cost Rs 880.
According to a press release from the organization, the members of the Edible Oil Owners Association currently met Prime Minister’s Private Industries and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman and Prime Minister’s Senior Secretary Tofazzal Hossain Mia regarding the unusual rise in dollar value and the complications of LC opening. Chairman of City Group Mr. was present at the meeting. Fazlur Rahman, Meghna Group Chairman Mostafa Kamal, and TK Group MD Mustafa Haider.
After a detailed discussion on dollar appreciation and the complexity of LC opening in the meeting, the price of edible oil has been revised down by 14 TK for the convenience of consumers.
