A 10th class student has lodged a sexual harassment complaint against Dukhi Ram Dhali, headmaster of Kodanda Secondary school in Satkhira Assasuni Upazila. The schoolgirl lodged a written complaint at Assasuni police station around 10 am on Tuesday (May 17).
According to the victim, she used to study privately with Dokhi Ram Dhali, the headmaster of Kodanda Secondary School. He first took the phone number on that occasion, and later the headmaster joined him on Facebook. After that, he used to call and inquire about his studies. At one stage, the teacher started giving offensive messages on Facebook Messenger. He wants to see offensive pictures in messages and video calls.

The schoolgirl says that the headmaster used to grab Dupatta when I was alone. I couldn’t stand it. At first, I did not tell anyone about the incident for fear. Later, when he informed his classmates, they asked him to protest.
Ashok Kumar, the assistant headmaster of kodanda secondary school, said headmaster Dukhi Ram Dhali joined the school two years ago. We were all shocked to hear about this incident with the student. We don’t know what he did secretly on Facebook. However, the student has been making this complaint since two days ago. Then we asked Sir. Sir said- Someone did it by hacking Facebook, I didn’t.
After repeated attempts to contact headmaster Dukhi Ram Dhali about the allegations, his phone number was blocked.
Meanwhile, the schoolgirl has spread the screenshot of the Facebook messenger regarding the complaint.
Assasuni Upazila Education Officer Hasanuzzaman said, “I have heard the complaint.” If a written complaint is received, action will be taken after investigation.
Assasuni Police Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Jahangir Hossain said the schoolgirl herself had lodged a complaint with the police. We are verifying the incident. Legal action will be taken after the investigation.
