Maulana Mamunul Haque, central joint secretary general of Hefazat-e-Islam, was blocked along with women at a resort in Sonargaon, Narayanganj on Saturday (April 3rd). He then claimed that the woman he was with was his second wife. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal opened his mouth about this.
In a statement to Parliament on Sunday (April 4th), Home Minister Mamunul was quoted as saying, “That woman is not his wife.”
Referring to the incident, the Home Minister said, “Hefazat central leader Mamunul Haque was staying with a woman at a private hotel in Sonargaon upazila. The woman admitted it on television. She is not his wife. I will let everyone know more facts about this. ‘
The minister added, “After that incident, I saw the attack on the resort. I do not know why this attack. There were a few foreigners. Police and BGB went and rescued them.
Regarding the Hifazat riots, he said, “Why such sudden riots, there must be a purpose. We are investigating. We have made every effort to take legal action against those who perpetrated the violence. “
Meanwhile, on Sunday (April 4) morning, Maulana Mamunul Haque posted a status on his Facebook page about his second wife. He clarified his relationship with the woman. Mamunul’s status is highlighted for the readers of Samay News:
‘Hafez Shahidul Islam is one of my close colleagues. One of my two or four collaborators in organizational work. Our relationship is quite old. The depth of the relationship extends to the perimeter of the family. Traveling to each other’s homes with our family is a long time coming.
I used to be his family guardian in that formula. They approached me for advice on family matters. Their life was going on with a small family of two children. At one stage, monogamy begins between husband and wife. From monomalignment to arguments and relationship tensions begin.
Three years ago today. Then I tried hard to keep their family alive. Talk to both of them. But somehow it was not possible. They are separated. Hafeez Shahidul Islam started his second family after divorce. I read that marriage. He is happily living in peace with his second wife. Another baby was born in that house.
On the other hand, Hafez became the wife of Shaheed Bhai and became very helpless. A kind of kulkinarahin. He broke up the family in anger and fell into a deep crisis. In that situation it became difficult for him to make a living. Naturally he took refuge in me. Advises on what to do in emergent situations. He had no one but me to help him in those difficult times.
I take his economic responsibility from the Islamic point of view and the place of guardianship. He has to keep in touch with me regularly for guidance on life’s tasks. In this situation, having a relationship with a foreign woman in this way seems risky to me from the point of view of Shariah.
So I decided that what I really needed to do was learn how to do it right, not just keep it up to date. I talk to my relatives about the matter and after informing them about it, I read the word of marriage according to the provisions of Shariah and got married. For two years now, I have been caring for her in the light of humanitarian and Islamic perspectives, and I believe that she has done a good deed by taking charge of a helpless woman. What I have said, I can swear by Allah a thousand times. I can also swear by Kullama to make the matter credible.
Even after disclosing the matter, the goons of Juba League and Awami League have treated me inhumanely and attacked me. I want justice from Allah, from the administration and from the people. Proving their attack and behavior in the presence of the police, it is not possible to move with dignity or security of life in Bangladesh at present. ‘
Locals blocked Maulana Mamunul Haque, the central joint secretary general of Hefazat-e-Islam, in room 501 on the 5th floor of the Royal Resort at 3pm on Saturday (April 3).
Later the police went and rescued him. Mamunul Haque claims that the woman’s name is Amina Tayyab. She is the second wife of Mamunul Haque. He went to the resort with Amina.
Released at 7:30 pm on the same day, he went on Facebook Live and said, “I am grateful for your love.” The journalist and the police did not treat me badly. Some outsiders have behaved badly.
