Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NSTU) has accused Pal Dipta, a student of the Department of Pharmacy in the 2017-18 academic year, and Majumdar, a member of the ESDM department in the same academic year, of insulting Islam. Today, October 27 (Tuesday), the general students of the university demanded their punishment through social media over the allegations against them.
Meanwhile, students are reacting angrily after their various Facebook posts and comments went viral through social media. The general students of the university complained that the accused students had been hurting the religious sentiments of Islam and Muslims through various posts and comments on social media Facebook for a long time.
Accused student Pratik Majumdar was not found even after calling him several times.
Another accused student, Pal Dipta, said, “I apologize to everyone for yesterday’s post. Everyone will forgive me.” I didn’t actually post this to belittle any religion. I wrote it in a funny way, I never thought the subject would be so sensitive. I apologize to everyone again.
