In the context of the Kargil war, there have been films in Bollywood before. The most notable is the 2003 L.O. directed by JP Dutta. ‘LOC: Kargil picture. In this film, Abhishek Bachchan played the role of Captain Vikram Batra’. The biopic of the late Captain Vikram Batra, who was awarded the title,e of Parambir Chakra, is ‘Shershaah’. Siddharth Malhotra is in the title role. Vishnu Vardhan in management.
Shershaah is no different from the formula used in Bollywood to make pictures of the Indo-Pakistani war. The way the story goes, the viewer will find the shadow of the old picture. But still, it doesn’t take much fatigue to watch ‘Shershaah’. The reason is, of course, the life story of Vikram Batra. Kurnish has to tell the journey of the way the son of a teacher from Palampur became ‘Shershaah’. Despite Captain Bikram’s childhood, upbringing, love-filler, the film’s main focus is on the highlights of the 1999 Kargil war. Captain Vikram Batra was posted in the 13JAK Rifles, posting in Sopore, Kashmir. From there he was posted to Dras during the Kargil war. ‘Point 5140’ and ‘Point 4875’, how to get the Pakistani soldiers out of their possession – that’s what covers most of the film.
Vikram Batra’s code name was ‘Shershaah’ and after winning the first mission, the code of success was ‘Yeh Dil Mange More. And that is why after rescuing Point 5140, Captain Vikram Batra and his team were sent to rescue Point 4875. The battle scene is wonderfully shot. And that’s why it’s good to see ‘Shershaah’. No matter how good the screenplay is, the story of the war that happened is not fabricated – it stings when you think about it. Siddhartha Malhotra does not feel bad. Despite his sweet looks, he fits this character in military attire. The screenwriter did not pay much attention to the characterization of the rest. As much footage as Kiara Advani has got in the role of Dimple Chima, especially in the song scene, should have focused more on Vikram Batra’s comrade-in-arms Captain Sanjeev Jamal and others. We see Kolkata actor Sataf Figure in the role of Colonel Yogeshkumar Joshi. In short, he did not feel bad. All in all, ‘Shershaah’ will bring a unique taste.
