Their daughter Jannat Ara Jharna was married to a man named Hafeez Shahidul Islam alias Shahidullah when he was nine years old. His home is in the Kachuria area of Bagerhat. They have two sons named Abdur Rahman (17) and Tamim (12).
According to family sources, they got divorced two and a half years ago due to family quarrels. Then, two years ago, when he saw a pot from the family and asked her to marry him, he said he was married, so he didn’t want to see any more pots for her. However, she never told the family with whom she was married. Only once did she show her second husband Mamunul Haque in a video call but they did not understand that he was Maulana Mamunul Haque.
Asked if Jannat Ara Jharna’s family had any contact with her first husband Hafez Shahidul Islam alias Shahidullah, they said they had no further contact with her after the divorce. Therefore, it was not possible to take his statement as there was no means of communication with Hafez Shahidullah.
