Discussions have been going on for a long time to appoint a power heating coach in the Bangladesh team. This position is especially important in limited-overs cricket. The issue became more acute after the failure of the last T20 World Cup. Eventually, a coach was appointed to the post.
According to BCB sources, the BCB has appointed former South Africa all-rounder Albie Morkel as the power-hitting coach. He has been named in the squad for the three-match ODI series against South Africa. Morkel has already started working with the Bangladesh team on tour to South Africa. Earlier, the BCB had appointed Allan Donald as the pace bowling coach.
