Recently, Malaysia planned to turn off the Internet at night to reduce internet dependency. Indeed, teenagers are addicted to the use of the Internet, online games and social media. So the national government is said to have adopted this plan to reduce dependency.
In that country, 34.9% of teens are addicted to the Internet. Such problems occur not only among teenagers but also among adults in the country, which affects the administration.
The average person spends four hours online every day, most of which is using social media. Therefore, according to their new plan, the Internet will be turned off from 12:00 to 6:00 in the morning of the next day.
The country’s health minister, Lee Boon Che, said he was more concerned about the problem. Therefore, the plan to introduce such a system in the country was adopted.
In doing so, he believes that Internet addiction will be reduced, at least in part. And those who are teenagers cannot use the Internet for more than 1-2 hours; it is said that they will take this measure.
Internet addiction can have a negative effect on a person. With that in mind, we’re taking this step with the health of children under 17 in mind.
