Several movies starring Shakib Khan have been stuck as the shooting has not been completed. Even after 20 to 85 percent shooting of these movies was completed, the remaining work could not be completed due to schedule complications. The producers have lost. Some of the producers and directors of these films have blamed the film’s hero Shakib Khan for this loss. Faced with huge losses, some of the producers hinted that they might file a case against Shakib Khan.
On January 1, 2014, director Montazur Rahman Akbar started shooting for the movie ‘My Darling’ with Shakib Khan and Apu Biswas. By early 2015, 70 percent of the movie was completed. Then the movie got stuck. The schedule of the hero and heroine was not available at all. By that time, the producer had spent crores of rupees. On 20 March 2018, the film’s producer Moniruzzaman filed a written complaint against Shakib Khan-Apu Biswas with the Film Producers’ Association, Film Directors’ Association, and Artists’ Association separately on 20 March 2018 as Shakib Khan did not complete the rest of the shoot despite repeated requests.
At that time, producer Moniruzzaman told the media, ‘If the leaders of the three associations call the two and arrange the shooting schedule, then it is good. If not, I will go to court. If I don’t get any answer, I will file a case.’ But even though the leaders of the association assured justice at that time, another five years have passed, and the issue has not been resolved. In this regard, the film’s producer Moniruzzaman said, “When I complained to the associations in 2018, I said that if the association does not settle, I will go to court against Shakib Khan.” But at that time Apu Biswas gave the schedule but Shakib Khan did not. At that time Shakib Khan talked about changing the heroine to another heroine. Shobnom even talked about taking Bubly. If not, Shakib Khan asked to end the shoot with separate shots of the hero and heroine. But the way the movie was shot before, it was not possible to change the heroine or take separate shots. If the heroine was changed, all the footage had to be thrown away and the whole shoot had to be done anew. It would have cost twice as much. Hinting about filing a case against Shakib Khan, the producer said, “Once I thought that the footage is there, I will release the movie with a round of applause.” Some money losses will be reduced. Nazrul Islam Khan started ‘Shopner Bidesh’ in 2008 with Shakib Khan and Shabnur. By early 2009, about 85 percent of the film was completed. 16 scenes remain out of 90 scenes. Shabnur’s work ends. Shakib Khan’s ‘Operation Agneepath’ has been off-shooting for seven years. Shooting officially began in September 2016 in Sydney, Australia. The action-thriller film was slated for release on 23 December 2017 after completing its shoot. But after completing 20 percent of the movie, the shooting stopped.
