YouTube has made major changes to their advertising policies. For those who have not monetized the channel, Google will now show ads in their videos. But the relevant video makers will not get any money. News – Forbes.
Users in the United States are already seeing a section called ‘Right to Monetize’ on YouTube’s Terms of Service. By 2021, it will be applicable to all countries. Advertising will be added to some of the videos that are not on YouTube’s Partner Program (YPP) from today. This means you can get ads on your videos even if they are not monetized. Since you are not on YPP, you will not get any money from advertising.
YouTube offers certain conditions for adding video makers to YPP. For this, the channel has to have more than one thousand followers. Besides, it takes 4,000 hours of view in the last 12 months.
If he was a member of YPP, he would have advertised on YouTube videos for so long. Now advertising can also go to a new channel. Those who are members of the YPP, of course, have nothing to worry about. They will get the same money as before.
Many have been unhappy with YouTube’s new policy. They’ll make money from less followers and view channels, but they won’t pay the producers anything – that’s not what technicians believe.
“I want to keep my channel ad-free,” Sentinel, a US technologist, told the BBC. But I can’t do that now. YouTube has changed its policy in the hope of making more profit. But people will be deceived.
