I want to go around! But the thought of canceling as soon as the issue of money comes to mind? Then there is good news for you. You don’t have to worry about money while traveling, because you will be paid in return for traveling.
Such a strange decision has been made by the autonomous country of Taiwan in East Asia. Basically, the country has taken this initiative to attract tourists.
The United States media CNN reported on Thursday (February 24) that Taiwan has decided to give 5,000 Taiwan dollars to each foreign tourist who comes to visit. In Bangladesh money is equal to about 18 thousand TK. In addition, about 90 thousand tourist groups will be given 20 thousand Taiwan dollars in cash.
Taiwan’s Prime Minister Chen Wei-zen said Thursday that they expect 6 million tourists to visit Taiwan in 2023. Besides, they aim to bring 1 crore tourists by 2025. As a part of this initiative has been taken to give this money.
Taiwan’s Transport Minister Wang Kuo-sai said on Wednesday that the cash will be paid digitally. Tourists can use it to do everything from renting hotels within Taiwan.
He said that their goal is to attract tourists from Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Hong Kong, including Macau, Europe, and the United States.
Meanwhile, only 9 million tourists came to Taiwan in 2022. Among these, most tourists were from Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, and the United States.
But in 2019, 1 crore 18 lakh tourists came to this island nation. That was about 7 percent higher than in 2018.
But in early 2020, Taiwan closed its borders to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus. Although most of the restrictions were lifted in 2022, tourists did not arrive as expected. This is why the country has taken such an initiative.
However, the government of Taiwan has not yet announced when this benefit will be launched and how to apply it to get the money.
