১২ টি tense এর গঠন ও উদাহরণ সহ, Tense কাকে বলে? কত প্রকার?

আমাদের আজকের আলোচনার বিষয়বস্তু হচ্ছে Tense, প্রাইমারি স্কুল জীবন থেকে আমাদের Tense শেখানো হয়। ১২ টি tense এর গঠন ও উদাহরণ সহ, Tense কাকে বলে? কত প্রকার? তবে আমরা অনেকে Tense এর মূল বিষয়টা বুঝতে পারিনা বলেই আমাদের অনেকের কাছে Tense অনেক কঠিন মনে হয়।

গ্রামার পার্ট এর একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ টপিক হচ্ছে Tense বা কাল। আজকে আপনাদের Tense এর গঠন প্রণালী সাথে উদাহরণ সহ বলবো। ১২ প্রকার Tense এর গঠন প্রণালী যদি আপনি একবার আয়ত্ত করতে পারেন তবে আপনার কাছে Tense একেবারে পান্তাভাত হয়ে যাবে। চলুন তবে শুরু করা যাক।

Tense অর্থ কি?
সহজ কথায়, Tense শব্দটির অর্থ হচ্ছে সময় বা কাল।
Tense কাকে বলে?
ক্রিয়ার কাজ সম্পন্ন হওয়াতে সময়কে Tense বলা হয়। তবে এক কথায় বলা যেতে পারে, ক্রিয়ার কালকে Tense বলা হয়।
Tense প্রধানত তিন প্রকারঃ
Present Tense (বর্তমান কাল)
Past Tense (অতীত কাল)
Future Tense (ভবিষ্যৎ কাল)

এই তিন প্রকার Tense এর প্রত্যেককে আবার চার ভাগে ভাগ করা হয়েছে। যেমন;
1. Indefinite
2.Continuous
3. Perfect
4.Perfect Continuous

তাহলে প্রতিটি ৩ প্রকার Tense কে যদি প্রত্যেককে চার ভাগে ভাগ করা হয় তবে মোট Tense এর ভাগ সংখ্যা হচ্ছে ১২ টি। Tense গঠন করার জন্য আপনার অবশ্যই ১২ টি tense এর গঠন প্রণালী জানতে হবে। চলুন নিচে ১২ ভাগ Tense এর গঠন প্রণালী জেনে নেওয়া যাক।

1) Present Indefinite Tense
Structure: Subject+Verb (verb+s/es)
Example:
i) I read a book.
ii) You read a book.

2) Present Continuos Tense
Structure: Subject+am/is/are+(verb+ing)
Example:
i) I reading a book.
ii) He is reading a book.

3) Present Perfect Tense
Structure: subject+have/has+ -ed+participle
Example:
i) I have done the work.
ii) We have done the work.

4) Present Perfect Continuous Tense
Structure: subject+has been/have been+(verb+ing)
Example:
i) I have been doing the work for two days.

5) Past Indefinite Tense
Structure: subject+past form of verb
Example:
i) I did the work.
ii) He spent his boyhood in London.

6) Past Continuous Tense
Structure: subject+was/were+(verb+ing)
Example:
i) I was doing the work.
ii) We were doing the work

7) Past Perfect Tense
Structure: subject+had+ -ed+participle
Example:
i) The Train had started before I reached the station.

8) Past Perfect Continuous Tense
Structure: subject+had been + (verb+ ing)
Example:
i) We had been playing before she arrived.
ii) Mr. Hasan had been teaching there for five years.

9) Future Indefinite Tense
Structure: subject+shall/will+ verb
Example:
i) I shall go to Chittagong.
ii) We shall go to Chittagong.

10) Future Continuous Tense
Structure: subject+shall be/will be+ (verb+ing)
Example:
i) I shall be doing the work
ii) She will be doing the work.

11) Future Perfect Tense
Structure: Subject+shall have/will have+ ed+participle
Example:
i) I shall have done the work before my mother comes.

12) Future Perfect Continuous Tense
Structure: Subject+shall have been/will have been+ (verb+ing)
Example:
i) I shall have been reading for three hours.
